2 Months

Time has really flown by! I can't believe that my baby is already two months old! It is now like she has always been a part of our family! She is so much fun and starting to do so many things!! She goes to the doctor on Tuesday so we'll see how big and tall she is!
Things she does:
- Smiles ALL the time! She is constantly smiling for Steve and I and even will smile for others occasionally.
- Notices when people enter and exit a room.
- Looks around for the sound of the tv (uh-oh!!).
- Still takes 2 good naps and sleeps from 7:30 to 7:30 at night.
- This week she has become a BIG eater and she starting to be a little chunk! Her legs are definitly getting chunky and she has fat cheeks and several chins :)
- She can now ride in the car without falling asleep.

I am so mad that it flipped these pictures and I couldn't get them to change because the one above is my favorite!

All dressed and ready for church in her cute little dress!

Daddy's Girl!

This week I went back to school and Steve took the week off to watch Hadley! He certainly had a lot of fun and learned LOTS of new things about her. He also admitted that being home all day and working to keep her on her schedule isn't as easy as he thought (and we only have 1 baby!). But they had lots of time to bond and I imagine they did a lot of this...
This is what I came home too... how could I be mad that she wasn't sleeping in her crib when the scene is this sweet?!

Love them!

All Smiles!

Believe it or not this is a real smile! Yes, she smiles in her sleep and when she has gas but she also smiles for real all the time!! I was lucky to catch the end of it with the camera! How can you not just love her!
We love our little girl!!

Here's To My Freedom...

Well, that is for 7 weeks!
Since the day Hadley was born this was what I was already dreading... going back to school. After 8 wonderful weeks home with my little lady, I have to go back to school next Monday. If you can't tell- I am not looking forward to it! She will get to spend some good quality time with her dad, aunt, and grandma (and others) but it definitely won't be the same! What can I say- I have always loved teaching but I love being a mom at home so much more! So think of me this week as my freedom comes to a close and I have to leave my little girl :(
I am trying to do all I can in my days off- going to the movies with my sister, shopping with Hadley, first play group (which is really for the moms, given not all the babies are even here yet), and just being home.
Here are some recent pictures of our adorable little miss...

She has a terrible rash on her face right now- but is still cute as ever!

Most days when I peek in on her to see if she is sleeping, if she is awake she always looks just like this- staring at the letters of her name on the wall :)

All tucked and ready for her nap!!

Baby Shower

My friend Sharon and I threw a baby shower for our friend Mejken on Saturday. Sharon, Mejken, and I all teach on the same team and always have way to much fun together! Mejken is due in about 2 1/2 weeks, so her little boy and Hadley will only be about 8 weeks apart. We are both excited about that! There was tons of people from school there and it was so fun to be able to chat and catch up with everyone (that's is the only thing that I miss about not being at school, the socializing :) ). She got lots of adorable things and is just about ready for that little one to come.
We really just could not seem to get a picture where we were all looking at the same camera!

Of course Sharon wanted to lay across our laps!

Life Lately

We are throughly enjoying ourselves over here! Hadley is a bundle of joy and fun and I can't imagine my days without her!

Let me just start by bragging a little (I'm sorry but I must)! Hadley has slept from 8-6ish (sometimes 6:15 or 6:20) for the last 6 nights!! I am so proud- now we are working toward 7:30 to 7:30 :)
She is doing lots of new things. She moves her eyes and head
to people's voices, to people moving around her and to the sound of the tv (not necessarily a good thing). She is starting to make these noises. I think it sounds like a loud bird so I like to call her my little birdy :)
We sing alot of songs and even read a book each day (I want her to start young to love books). Sadly she doesn't get to spend much time with Steve during the week since he is always at work or school and most nights she is in bed when he gets home. So time with dad is precious and he loves the weekends to be with her!
We get bundled up as often as the weather permits to go on walks. She loves the stroller!!

We take alot of pictures! Relaxing in her bouncer on St. Patrick's Day.

We have some tummy time each day! This is usually what it turns into :)

She doesn't really like to be made to sit up!

She is starting to grab at things (kind of). Like yesterday she kept grabbing the zipper on her vest and wouldn't let go. She grabs my shirt and doesn't let go. Yesterday while laying on her play mat she really grabbed this all by herself and held on for like 20 minutes!

She always makes these big eyes! I love it!
