Hadley at 2!!

Although I have loved Hadley at all ages and all stages, Steve and I are loving this stage!!  We were just mentioning the other day that we wish we could freeze time just for a little while and keep her here :)  She is talking up a storm, which makes it more fun for us and much easier to her to tell us what she wants, and she is seriously so sweet and kind most of the time.  We don't really have any tanturms or anything naughty very often.  Haddles, please stop growing!!

Here's some things about Hadley at 2:

Food:
- Favorite foods include: popcorn, hot dogs, chili, rice, noodles of all kinds, broccli, green beans, cauliflower, carrots, over easy eggs
- She loves to eat most things... still will not eat any fruit that doesn't come out of a can!!
- Won't eat sandwiches:  I wish, this would make lunch much easier some days!!
- Constantly asking for chocolate milk :)  My bad!!

We are always trying new hairstyles- this day we used the 3 barrel curling iron!!

Reading:
- We usually read at least 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes before bed
- Hadley often is pulling out books and reading to herself
- She in a stage where she only wants me to read to her.  If she tries she hold out her hand and says, "Stop, Daddy!"
- Favorite books: Last Night at the Zoo, anything Fancy Nancy, Hattie Hippo, and all the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie books

 Toys/Playing:
- loves to play with her babies
- LOVES to play games (we play at least 3 a day)
- still enjoys doing at least 1 puzzle a day
- Always to wanting to color!!
- could play in the tub all day long

TV:
- I really try to limit her tv to like 30/45 minutes a day but she could watch WAY more if I let her
- watches all her Pooh movies but also loves Curious George and Word World

These pictures are from a few weeks ago but it's so fun to watch her develop.  The top picture is her coloring from about the beginning of February- scribbles everywhere!!  The bottom is just after her birthday- she is actually trying to coloring inside the characters!!  I LOVE watching her grow!!

 Other Random Things:

- completely potty trained except at night (I'm waiting to do that until she moves out of her crib)
- loves to play with friends
- still doesn't like nursery AT ALL!
- pbskids.org (we've been spending like 10 minutes a day on here playing number and letter games and doing fun songs)  She always asking to, "Play puter (computer) mommy?"
- Can count to 8
- Can recognize and name a circle, square, triangle, heart, star, oval, and diamond
- Knows all her colors but sometimes calls yellow blue
- Has a new obsession with flags... no idea where this came from!!

Well, congrats if you go through all of that!!

This age is way fun! I love when you can start really interacting and playing with them more.

Ha, Shane would much rather I read to him too. It's not our husbands faults that they married teachers, it's what we do!
