Happy Birthday Steve!!

Steve is 26 today! He is so wonderful and such an amazing husband! I am so grateful for the almost 4 years that I have known and spent with him...

"26" Things You May Not Know About Steve:

1. Steve LOVES Matlock (I hate to admit that to people). He TiVo's every episode daily and he now owns all of the seasons that have come out!

2. Steve loves waterskiing and says says that in 5 years we will own our own boat and go all the time.

3. He knows more about East Coast and West Coast rap than anyone I have ever met. He used to listen to 2pac and sometimes watches his life history on tv and will tell me all about it!

4. He also loves the shows "Big Daddy's House" and "Guy's Big Bite" on the food network and is constantly experimenting with their recipes.

5. Steve is either an extremely passive or extremely aggressive driver. There is never any gray area in his driving.

6. Steve will only wear Nautica, Polo, or Jordan. He admits that he will wear American Eagle when I force him.

7. He often uses the terms 'Kobe Bryant' and 'hate' in the same sentence.

8. He has lost 10 pounds in the last two weeks!

9. Steve collect church books.

10. He says that he is going to "strongly strongly influence" our boys to play basketball even though I want them to play hockey.

11. Steve recently admitted that he wouldn't mind having girls because he loves our little Livi so much!

12. He is a kid at heart- he loves Disney movies, trampolines, toys, and bouncehouses.

13. Steve asks me almost daily if we can get a dog- my answer never changes, "No!"

14. If you want to start an argument with Steve, suggest that Kobe Bryan or Lebron James are as good or will be as good as Michael Jordan.

15. He loves fish tanks and is jealous of people who have them when we don't!

16. Steve makes lots of sacrifices for his family. One of which being he will sit and watch all my shows with me, even though he claims to dislike most of them!

17. Steve is always trying out new laughs. If he laughs weird and we ask him why he sounds like that he says, "I'm trying out a new laugh!"

18. He loves water and amusements parks, but he refuses to go on any of the scary rides. If he does he screams like a girl and everyone around is laughing uncontrollably.

19. Steve has the worst handwriting I have ever seen. When we write cards to people I have to write it so they can read it!

20. He can do the perfect imitation of Batman's voice. He seriously could be hired for voice-overs.

21. We always say that our lives would be so dull without each other. Steve is constantly making me laugh.

22. He is deathly afraid of blood and hospitals. He says he'll be in the waiting room when I have my babies!

23. Steve does not know about to wipe our kitchen counters- after being yelled at several times for doing it with a dry paper towel, he always saves them for me.

24. Steve can only cook certain things really well- Top Ramen, English Muffin Egg Sandwiches, milkshakes, and smoothies.

25. He loves playing Monopoly with anyone that will play. Even though he rarely wins he is extremely competitive and will always try to get Boardwalk and Park Place.

26. He cracks his toes in his sleep and I can't stand it!!

Life Lately...

Well, I realized that I haven't really posted in a couple of weeks. To be honest, we haven't really had a lot going on. Steve has started back in school and is still working hard at work- as always. I have been back into my old school routine and of course loving spending each day with my wonderful class!

Last night Steve and I went to the BYU basketball game last night with Luke & Jesse. I'm definately not a huge fan of college basketball, I really prefer NBA. Even still, it was really fun to just go!!

This week is Steve's birthday and we are both taking the day off to spend together. So we are looking forward to that!!

Home Room Makeover

Our upstairs loft is finally finished! Steve and I bought these sage green couches when we first moved into our townhouse (which was like 2 1/2 years ago) and ever since I bought them I have hated them! It was just one of those purchases that you are so excited about and then you get them home and just don't like them at all. So I delt with them for 2 years and I tried different paint colors and different decorations and different other furniture pieces. Well, Steve and I decided that it was high time to get some new couches. So in October we bought a new sectional for the room. We have been really busy the last couple of months and we just got around to repainting the room over the break. But I absolutely loved the way it turned out!
Here are what it looked like before...

And after...

We also got a new dvd case to go behind our couch- and even has huge as it is, I have to admit that all of my movies and seasons did not fit!! We still have one of our old ones completely filled with movies in the closet!!

3 Amazing Years

Today marks Steve and I's three year wedding anniversary! We were married on Tuesday, January 3rd in the Denver temple. It was a beautiful and sunny Colorado day and it was the best day of my life.

Steve is the best husband any girl could ask for- he is helpful, sensitive, hard working, complimentary, loving, spiritual, reliable, funny, positive, and he is going to be a wonderful dad sometime! I am so grateful to have Steve in my life! For the last year and a half Steve has been working and going to school full time. On a typical week, Steve works 50-55 hours, goes to school, does homework, helps me around the house, and finds time to be with me! It is hard for me to spend so much time alone, but I am thankful that I have such a motivated husband.

Steve and I had a relaxing day today. We slept in and then Steve made me a delicious breakfast with an orange julius (my favorite!). After getting ready we did some things around the house and then went to the craft store. Since we've gone out to dinner so many times this week we decided to stay in and make another recipe from the Food Network- it was as equally as good as the last. We made cookies together and rented a movie we are about to watch! What a wonderful 3 years- I can't wait for the rest of eternity!

Happy New Year

2008 was definately a great year for Steve and I. Not only did we spend another wonderful year being married but we had some fun. We both got to go home to Colorado and Washington for a while, went on some great trips to Vegas, Moab, and the Oregon coast. I graduated in April and finished up my 1st year of teaching and started my 2nd. Steve worked super hard as usual and got a lot done in school and work. We also got two new adorable nephews this year!

Steve and I had a nice and relaxing New Years Eve. We went to the mall and did a little shopping and went to dinner at Red Robin. Then we came home and had milkshakes and watched like 4 episodes of the Next Food Network star. Overall it was a great night!

Yesterday, we did a little more shopping and went to Best Buy and got TiVo (for those of you who know me, you will know that I am one person that will actually save time having this) and I can't wait. On Monday I have like 5 shows with two hours of time and know I won't miss anything! Then we went to lunch and to the Mazda dealership to look around. Last night we made these delicious chicken taquitos from Guy's Big Bite (Steve's favorite show!) and watched our new movie Eagle Eye. We are certainly looking forward to another wonderful year!
