July

We've had a pretty busy July and so I'm just now getting around to posting about some of things we been doing!!

A couple of weekends ago we had a BBQ with our good friends Kelsie and Garrett.  Hadley and Landon were so cute together and played the entire time.  I've honestly never seen Hadley play so well and nicely with anyone for that long!!

The next morning we met up with Kelsie, Garrett, and Landon at Seven Peaks.  I took a quick picture before we went in because I didn't want my camera lost or stolen.  But I was so sad not to get any pictures of Hadley and Landon going down the slides with their dads- so adorable!!

My parents came out for a week and they Fiona and Fox with them.  Hadley enjoyed the extra attention and extra little people to run around the house with!!

Hadley also did her first week of swimming lessons.  Sadly, she did not love them.  I think it was because on the first day the teacher dunked her completely under the water.  She never really wanted to get back in the water again!!  Oh well, we'll try again next year!!

The weather has been really mild for July so we'ven spent more time outside and not in the pool.  We've painted lots of toes and just enjoyed our free time!!

Indoor Activities

Yes, it is July so the title of this post should probably be outdoor activities, but it's not :)  We've spending quite a bit of time indoor doing some fun things.  Couple reasons for our time inside- well, as I have said before it's really windy in Spanish Fork until like 10 or so in the morning and also with all the fires we've had south of here it's been really smokey outside to the point where I don't even want to go out!

Hadley LOVED playing with shaving cream- she was a little hesitant at first but then got way into it!

We made necklaces out of things I had lying around the house... I thought I was taking a picture but apparently not... whoops!

Hadley's favorite was making bird feeders out of toilet paper rolls.  She probably asks at least once a day to make more bird feeders!

Another favorite activity is marble races down the staris with water noodles!!

The fires are gone and the air is clear so we're basically back outside now!!

Fourth of July

We had a fabulous July 4th... seriously one of my very favorite holidays!!

We started the day by spending a few hours up playing in the river!  This time we brought a 'picnic' lunch and stayed for a bit longer.  The kids also seriously enjoyed the innertube that Steve decided to bring, everyone got to take lots of turned it was so fun to watch them!

After naps for everyone, we headed to the traditional (well, traditional to Becca and her kids, we just went along for the food) dinner of KFC.

It was still too hot and too early to do many fireworks so we killed some time with a movie party!!  The kids call all set up with blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, and lots of yummy treats!!

Needless to say, 4 kids don't make through an entire movie with a break so we did a few poppers and sparklers and then headed to the backyard to play!

While in the backyard we had rootbeer floats and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit!

We played outside forever and then finished the last 30 minutes of the movie.  By that time it wasn't quite dark enough to watch any fireworks so we killed some more time with hide and go seek around the house in the dark- big hit!!  We then went outside for the fireworks- our neighborhood was doing some really big ones so we got to see a lot!  Hadley finally turned in around 10:30 and was very wound up!!  But what a great day and she keeps talking about it!!

** Sorry for the million pictures- I really like my new camera!!
