Like Father, Like Daughter

Sometimes I wish Hadley was more like her Dad... you know, relaxed, laid back, pretty low maintenance, patient!  But she definitely has her mom's personality... you know, kinda uptight, high maintenance, stubborn, independent... Isn't Steve so lucky to live with us?!! :)

But she is absolutely is obsessed with anything involving water, just like her dad!!  She be play in water all day, well some days we pretty much do!!

We've certainly been enjoying our Seven Peaks passes...  Hadley literally screams when we have to go home...

We play outside with her water table and in her little pool at least once a day, everyday...

And of course the splash pad, this week we got to go with Dex and Ily!!

So I do sometimes wish Hadley had Steve's personality, but I wouldn't change her love of water for anything!  Of course, I wouldn't change anything about her for anything!!

Summertime Fun!!

We have certainly been enjoying our summer thus far!!  It's been so nice to not really have a care in the world aside from my tutoring.  Oh yea, I got a tutoring job in April and am currently tutoring 3 hours a week.  Other that those 3 hours each week, Steve, Hadley, and I have been living up this hot Utah summer!!

How have we been spending our time?  With...

... trips to play/swim in the river...

...baths with Max after playing the ashes of our patio fireplace (whoops, guess we should have checked on them more often!!)...

...play time with gak and fingerpainting on those windy mornings...

...lots of playing with cousins...

...Hadley's definite favorite, anything outside and with water (and bugs, she is showing me her rolly pollies that she found!!)...

...eating pizza in the backyard with her favorite 3 little people...

...evenings at the splash pad playing with daddy...

...and lunchtime tea parties in the backyard, including jelly sandwiches, mandarin oranges, raisins, crackers and cookies...

Isn't life just grand when you have a 2 year old and lots of free time????????!!!!!!!!!!!

Girls' Trip to Las Vegas

The day after school got out (May 26) my mom and sisters and I headed off to Vegas for a 4 day girls trip!!  We originally planned on going to San Francisco but decided against that with Hillary being 7 months pregnant and all!  It was tough for me to leave my little lady for 4 days but I knew she was in good hands with her daddy!

We stayed at a really nice resort, Tahiti Village, a couple miles off the strip.  Although I really love the strip but it was nice to be a little farther away from all the crowds and party goers :)

We spent a good deal of time at the pool and lazy river which was quite relaxing!

The first night we got there my mom took us to see Phantom- it was Auuuuhhhh-mazing!  I loved it!!

We spent some time on the strip visiting the standard tourist places and walked alot of the hotels.  I just love Vegas (Steve thinks that's really strange) so I just enjoyed being there and seeing everything again!

The last day there we went shopping at the outlets, ate some more delicious food, and saw the water show at the Belagio.

It really was a great trip and the perfect way to relax after a SUPER busy month of May!  Thanks to my mom for taking us and to Steve for playing both mom and dad while I was gone :)

Visitors!!!

A day and half after I got home from Vegas (that post to come), we had visitors!!  I LOVE visitors!!  Tori, Tim, Mylin, and Kale came to stay with us for the night on their way to a wedding!  We seriously had the best time and the girls were really cute together..

The evening that they arrived we headed up to Provo to eat at Tucano's!  It was delicious of course and Hadley enjoyed the salad bar filled with olives :)  Afterwards we walked around a bit and the let the girls play the water fully clothed... yes, we are those parents!! By the time we left, they were both completely soaked!!

When we got home it was already bedtime so Hadley and Mylin played a little and then got ready for bed.  For some reason, Hadley thought it was really neat that they brushed their teeth at the same time!

After the girls went down, we built a fire in our pit on our back porch and had smores.  Kale slept through it and we just sat around talking- which I love!!  I promise that their were adults and a baby, I just didn't get any pictures of anyone but Hadley and Mylin.

After a late night we drug ourselves out of bed in the morning and headed up to Kneader's for breakfast.  We waited a while for Tori's brother to show up so there was free time to play.

Before they had to go to Richfield we went to BYU to visit the bookstore and walk around a bit.  Both Tori and I were trying to get ONE cute picture of the girls, but had no success!

Thanks for making the extra drive to come visit guys!!  So excited for our trip to California to visit you guys in August :)  Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
