Merry Christmas to All...

We had a great little Christmas that we were able to spend with our wonderful family. We continued our tradition and spent both Christmas eve, Christmas morning, and Christmas dinner with my sister and her family. We had our amazing fondue dinner, put the kids to bed and watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Christmas morning- Hadley was a little overwhelmed by all her things from Santa. And of course out of all these things, her favorites so far are little squeeze bath toys!
Here is Steve with his gift from Becca & Jesse- it's really an inside joke because Steve is always talking about how much he hates Justin Bieber!

Steve and I with the shirts we got in our stockings :) Sadly his team won on Christmas and mine lost!! We opened presents Saturday morning at Becca's... all the noise and commotion was a little much for Hadley so she went downstairs and took a nap! The rest of us help set up Luke's new Wii and then watched the boys play some hunting game. I was very spoiled by Steve, I am so lucky to have a great husband who actually listens what I want! We got home about noon and took some great naps and watched some basketball!

Family picture after a delicious prime rib dinner!

Sunday was spent with just the three of us! Hadley spent most of the day getting acquainted with all her new things, she is loving more than the bath toys now- haha!

She loves being pulled around on my new Celtics snuggy :)

Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday!

Week of Christmas

We have had a fun week getting ready for Christmas this weekend! It all started with a HUGE snow storm Monday & Tuesday which left Steve stranded here at the house with us (not that we minded). He woke up and got in his car at normal time- 5:30, and found he couldn't get out of the driveway. Even with the generous help of two neighbors who were also up at that crazy hours he couldn't get out... his car just sits too low and can get past much snow. So he came in and said he would wait a little while to see if it got better. Well, it didn't! Steve went out and shoveled frm 6:15 to 8 to finally get the drive way and our entrance to the street clear. Ended up his work just told him to stay home and come in the next day!
He went out and played a little by himself so Hadley could watch and she thought it was so funny! After it finally stopped snowing around 4 on Tuesday we measure our backyard which was untouched and we had 21 inches!!

This little girl just stood and watched for about 40 minutes!

This week (to my dismay) Hadley also mastered the art of opening all cupboards and pulling everything out the them :)

Last night after walking around the neighborhood delivering gifts we wanted to make smores. Well, we had no form of fire so we went a little ghetto and just used the stove.

Hadley LOVED the smores...

... and eating the marshmallows plain even better!

It was a fun week to stay inside and keep cozy most of the time :)

Ambition...

So this is me going to attempt to be EXTREMELY ambitious! I found this felt playhouse on a blog of my friend's and I am totally going to try to make this for Hadley's birthday. It fits over a card table so it can fold up and be put away easily. This is a huge task for me- especially since I don't really sew :) But I can just see Hadley going crazy over this!!

So here's to my ambition and I have 7 weeks to get this done!! Wish me lots and lots of luck!

Fun Filled Weekend

Well we definitely had a fun filled and busy weekend!! It started on Thursday night when Steve and I went to Steve's work party. Becca was kind enough to babysit Hadley at their house (especially since she won't let anyone else watch her) so we could drive up to the Sundance resort for the dinner party. It was this amazing $65 dollar a plate dinner and was definitely worth the drive up their- plus Steve won a brand new Playstation 3 and a $60 iTunes gift card!
-
Friday night we had some friends over to make gingerbread houses out of graham crackers. We originally wanted to do actual gingerbread but I really didn't want to do all that work. So when I saw my friends cute houses out of graham crackers and frosting (thanks Tori), that's what we decided to do. It was way fun to just sit and chat, eat some food, and do the best we could with the houses... Steve and I's was the worst one!
-
Debrah, Spencer, and little Daniel hard at work.
Aleksie, Mejken, and Pollux working away.
Finished product- we thought it looked like an old church!

This was supposed to be like a hunting bunker or something... I think...

Ours :( A sad little shack...

Saturday we headed up to Salt Lake with my sister and her family to see the lights on Temple Sqaure. We first stopped in Sandy for dinner at Training Table. Hadley and Max loved sitting so close!

Then we rode the Trax the rest of the way up. The kids enjoyed it but it was definitely took FOREVER!!

All bundled up to go out in the cold!

Finally, here's Hadley in her little Christmas outfit. I couldn't find I dress I liked so I thought this little skirt and sweater would due for this year! But we thought she was pretty cute!!

We love these kind of fun weekends spent with family and friends!!

10 Month Update

Hadley is 10 months old today! I can't believe that in 2 months she will be 1- ahhh!! Sometimes I feel like she isn't even a baby anymore (plus we all know how big she is, haha). She gets smarter and busier and sometimes more mischievious each day! This little one literally cannot hold still... But we also love her more each day!
-
Some new updates from the past month:
-
She can stand on her own for about 10 seconds and then loses her balance. But she isn't any closer to walking (which is ok with me for now).
She loves to play chase with Steve and I and loves to have crawling races with Max!
-
Her favorite thing to do is tip over EVERYTHING, including heaters, standing lamps, laundry baskets, speakers, you name it!

She will sit in the car and 'sing' to the music... so cute!!

And yes, pulling everything out of shelves. The bad thing is she thinks it's so funny! This is what I found when Steve was watching her :) How can you get mad at that laughing face?

Still loves to go to church and entertain everybody.

Still grinds her teeth - eek! She now has 6 of them, four on top and two on bottom.

She LOVES her new carseat and I know that she isn't 1 yet but I just can't force myself to make this 22 pound cutie face backwards anymore!

Her naps have almost completely corrected themselves from the struggles the past couple of weeks.

Really doesn't like to eat much fruit lately- but LOVES all her veggies!

Loves playtime with dad!

She surprisingly has done pretty well with the tree being up. She only has ripped off a couple of bows :)

Sorry for the picture overload, my camera has been busy the past week!
